Yerevan Jewellery Factory was founded in 1950. It is one of the leading enterprises in the jewelry industry, recognized as a leader in terms of quantity, quality, and variety of its jewelry products. For 40 years, the plant was managed by Emil Grigoryan. Under his leadership, Yerevan Jewellery Factory became the leader in the jewelry industry of Armenia and the Transcaucasian region. Sadly, in 2022, after a brief illness, Emil Grigoryan passed away. Following his death, the factory was renamed in his honor — “Yerevan Jewellery Factory Named After Emil Grigoryan” OJSC. The factory was completely re-equipped with modern machinery from Germany, Japan, Italy, and Switzerland. It employs young specialists, highly qualified engineers, and skilled workers. The jewelry produced at the factory is in high demand both in Armenia and internationally, distinguished by high quality, unique design, and a delicate blend of national motifs with the latest trends in jewelry design. The factory manufactures all types of jewelry, branded “Gnomon” watches (the “Gnomon” trademark is patented in Armenia, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, and several other countries), and orders and medals made of both precious and non-precious metals, unmatched in quality within the region. It was the first and only enterprise in Armenia licensed for this type of production. The factory also produces accessories made from non-precious metals for the military uniforms of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and other law enforcement bodies. There is also a refining workshop equipped with high-quality Italian machinery, ensuring a closed-loop production cycle. The factory exports its products to the CIS countries, Europe, Asia, and the USA. New technologies are constantly being introduced at the enterprise, with new equipment being acquired and highly skilled personnel being recruited. The factory remains true to its traditions and regularly participates in various international jewelry exhibitions held in Europe, the USA, and Asia.
